3 Things You Should Know About Patagonia.

We almost always accept Patagonia products for consignment in our shop because they’re high quality; meaning they’re built to be bought once, and last for a lifetime of adventure.

Here are three things we think everyone should know about this inspiring company that truly does it’s part to protect the environment.

1. Ironclad Guarantee
Did you know all Patagonia products come with a lifetime warranty? They call it the “Ironclad Guarantee.” In other words, if your gear doesn’t hold up, or you aren’t satisfied with the way it feels and/or performs, you can return it to any Patagonia store to be repaired, replaced, or refunded.

2. Environmental Commitment
Patagonia pledges 1% of its total sales to environmental causes. This commitment, known as “1% for the Planet,” supports grassroots organizations working tirelessly to protect the environment. Since its inception, Patagonia has contributed millions to various conservation efforts, demonstrating that they are not just a business but a force for environmental change. Most notably, in 2022, Patagonia founder, Yvon Chouinard, announced he was giving away his shares of the company to be put into a trust to help fight the environmental crisis.

3. Responsible Materials

From using recycled polyester sourced from plastic bottles in their fleece jackets, to creating neoprene-free wetsuits, Patagonia is fully committed to using sustainable materials in all of their products.
