What can I buy at EGT?
As a consignment shop, our inventory changes every day! However, year round you’ll find our shelves stocked with outerwear and apparel from notable outdoor brands such as Arcteryx, Patagonia, and The North Face, as well as skis/snowboards, wetsuits, climbing gear, and so much more!
What does consignment mean?
Consignment means that we sell your gear, for you.
Just drop it off, and we do all of the heavy lifting. Items on consignment are given 4 months on our sales floor during their appropriate season.
How does pricing work? Can I price my own gear?
We typically start our pricing at 50% of MSRP, pricing up or down depending on the wear-and-tear and age of your gear. You’re welcome to price your own gear if you would like, however, we tend to have a good grasp on what sells in our store, and for how much. If we believe you’ve priced your own gear too high, we’ll let you know.
Can I pick up my gear if I change my mind?
Absolutely! As long as your gear hasn’t sold, it is still yours.
Simply give us a call ahead of time and we will have your items ready for pick up with a valid form of ID.
My gear sold, but I moved away and can’t come in to pick up my check. What do I do?
No worries! If you’d like to cash out your account but aren’t able to pick up a check in person, give us a call or shoot an email to info@eugenegeartraders.com. We’re happy to send your funds via Venmo for a $2 fee or put a check in the mail for free.
Can I return gear?
Yes! We offer a full-refund return policy within 7-days of your purchase.
As long as the items haven’t been damaged or heavily used after being purchased we are happy to take it back.
We highly recommend using this time to set up tents, test stoves, check zippers, etc. After all, it is used gear and occassionally small damages go unnoticed during processing.
NOTICE: Consignors are unable to cash out funds until this seven-day window has passed.
What happens after my four-month consignment period ends?
Once your four-month consignment period has ended, all expired gear will be donated to the shop.
Log into your account using the orange “log in” button on the top right corner of this website to check the expiration date on all of your items. Please come into the shop, call, or send an email if you are interested in picking up your items. We may extend or re-consign an item on a case by case basis.
Can I consign stained/ripped gear?
We’re a small shop, and unfortunately we don’t have the means to wash or repair. Therefore, we do not accept stained, muddy, ripped, or highly-damaged gear.
Exceptions are made occasionally depending on the piece, but this is our general rule of thumb.
